AlSher APM proprietary processes allow for volume  (tons) production of Highly Photocatalytic Nano TiO   Powders for air and water purification as well as  antibacterial treatments.   We are proud of our track record as supplier of  photocatalytic products to top manufacturers of highly  effective air purification systmes. Photocatalytic  oxidation in these systems results in reduction of  Volital Organic Compounds (VOCs), Degradation of  Cellular Structure in Pollens, Molds, Bacteria, and  Viruses.  Our Photocatalysts used in purification systems and in  self-cleaning surfaces are fixed in the form of micrometric (not nanometric) agglomerates. Consequetnly,  AlSher’s TiO2 nanostructured photocatalysts are handled just like conventional micronized powders during  manufacture, application and final use. At the same time, our agglomerated powders provide the benefits of  high surface area, purity and phase composition to coating performance.   Photocatalyst (from the Greek verb Catalysis, meaning to break, dissolve) is a chemical phenomenon  altering the speed of a chemical reaction. TiO2 is an excellent photocatalyst, and nearly the only material  suitable for effective industrial use because of the high efficiency of its photoactive reaction, highest stability,  low toxicity and abundant availability.   When TiO2 is stimulated with ultraviolet light, two types of photochemical  reactions occur on its surface. Photo-induced redox reactions of adsorbed  substances, and a photo-induced hydrophilic conversion of titanium dioxide  itself. Thus substances such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter  (PM10) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) principally responsible for  pollution are decomposed and transformed into harmless compounds such  as nitrates, sulphates, and carbonates. If a nano TiO2 photocatalytic  coating is used in an outdoor location exposed to rain water, residual  inorganic particles are washed away and the coating exhibits self-cleaning  properties*.   Because of its photo reactive properties nano TiO2   photocatalysts are an excellent material for a  variety applications including: self-cleaning, anti-  fogging, anti-fouling, and antibacterial coatings;  water and air purification; green building materials,  corrosion inhibition and other applications.
